Spinning wheel for sale

The seller says: I bought the wheel from an elderly gentleman in a neighbouring village; it had belonged to his wife. He told me that it was hand made by a local carpenter some years ago from a large walnut tree that was felled in his garden. Having looked through all the models on the Ashford site it would appear to be as near to their Ashford Traditional single drive design, bar a couple of parts - the spindles and the foot treadle.

There is no woodworm or warping on the wheel, it spins beautifully.

Accessories: 6 bobbins

Price: It is often thought of as a ‘beginner’s wheel so the seller is open to offers

Contact: Kate Lamb at katelamb77@gmail.com for more information.

Location: Westhorpe - about 8 miles from Diss - but happy to deliver the wheel locally to Broome.
